Terrible customer service! This company does not understand what it means to operate in East Texas. A service gentleman came to our house and tested the system with a device that acts as a thermostat, we were told the problem was only with our thermostat and that it needed to be replaced (Without plugging in the thermostat). We were told they do not install thermostats ​unless it is one they provide (they were very expensive). We installed the thermostat and still no heat. We had an electrician look at the system who told us it was, in fact, the HVAC system and specifically the transformer. I called Walker Heating and Air to see if they could waive their $79.99 service call fee because the problem was the transformer i.e the HVAC unit. The employee I spoke with told me there was no way the problem was the transformer when they were there and they could not help. I advised that I would have no problem calling another heating and air company to fix the problem but wanted to give them a chance since the problem was in fact with the HVAC system and they had already been out there. He told me to call someone else. I highly recommend using anyone other than Walker Heating and Air for your heating and air needs.

We called on 4th July Holiday Weekend on Sunday, Emergency Service, Cringeing the expense and out weighing the decision of 100 degree heat for another day or making a call, We called several business in the area for 24/7 services with no return call except this company who was really busy. But 2 hours after call, Service Tech Kristy arrived, found the problem, did a complete check of our central air unit and circuit box, provided recommendations without trying to make any sales but instead provided prevention advice and what to do next time, things to look for, and since our unit is old that we may need to think of a new unit verses the next repair that may come about but still have some time and use out of the one we have. Kristy was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, answering all our questions, educational and professional? We paid the expense of the holiday service, double the price but the services provided was well worth the payment. Either we got lucky as this was our first time with this company or they are really excellent.
